My Mission: It is my goal to be an ambassador of peace and empower our future generations to make the world a better place through holistic and innovative learning opportunities.
My Background: I have lived in four countries now, traveled to many more, and all with my young daughters Penelope and now Josefina in tow. I'm learning, teaching, and traversing the globe with the goal of seeking and promoting a greater understanding and appreciation of the world and its myriad cultures. Education is the gateway to peace and it is this message I spread to my students. My father who lost his arm and nearly his life in the Vietnam War taught me to take nothing for granted, to live as each day was my last, and to spread positivity and promote tranquility. He taught me that hatred and violence occur where is a lack of understanding. “Teach them,” he would say, “love is the only way.” And that I aspire to do. To make my message clearer and louder, I wish to continue to develop my education and rise to more prominent leadership positions where I can make a larger impact. With this goal in mind, I was awarded my Principal Certification from City U Seattle several years ago and have since worked as a Dean of Students of Secondary and Associate Principal of Elementary in Paraguay. Looking forward, it is my dream to someday open a school of the future with the principle doctrine of fostering Global Ambassadors of Peace, denouncing hatred and bigotry, and ultimately illuminating the minds of young people and thereby illuminating the world itself. Where there is education and understanding, there is light!
